Proverbs 4
Wisdom Is: Following God’s Way

 


  I. THIS IS TRIED AND TESTED (4:1-10)!

      A. The responsibility is two-fold: parent and child (4:1).

      B. This way is (4:2-10)—

           1. Good (4:2).
           2. Loving (4:3).
           3. Useful (4:4-6).
           4. A number one priority (4:7).
           5. Full of promise (4:8-10).

  II. ACCEPT THE RESPONSIBILITY OF YOUR OWN
       ACCOUNTABILITY (4:11-27).

       A. You have been given (taught) the things that you need (4:11-13).

       B. Accept your responsibility (4:14-27)—

            1. When you walk (4:14-19).
            2. When you think (4:20-23).
            3. As long as you live (talk, look, walk; 4:24-27).
